1. Overview
Looseleaf (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a collaborative chord sheet, arrangement, and setlist management platform for musicians. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data and musical repertoire.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign up or sign in (via email/password or Google OAuth), we collect your name, email address, and profile avatar to identify your account.
- User Content: We store the songs, ChordPro chord sheets, custom arrangements, setlists, and performance notes you create or import into your library.
- Device & Session Information: To help you manage active logins and safeguard your account security, we record standard device characteristics (such as device model, operating system, browser type, and IP address). This information is used exclusively to display your active logins in your account settings and allow you to remotely sign out of unrecognized devices.
- Local Browser Storage: Looseleaf uses browser
localStorageto cache your songs, setlists, and stage viewer preferences (such as font size, column mode, and chord diagram visibility) so your charts remain accessible offline on stage.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate, maintain, and improve Looseleaf:
- Synchronizing your song library, custom arrangements, and setlists across your devices.
- Enabling read-only setlist sharing links when you explicitly choose to generate and share a link with bandmates.
- Providing authentication, account security, and customer support.
We do not sell or rent your personal information or musical charts to third parties.
4. Shared Setlists & Links
Your songs and setlists are private to your account by default. If you enable sharing on a setlist, anyone with the unique share link can view the setlist's songs and arrangements in read-only mode. You can revoke or regenerate a share link at any time from the setlist viewer.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You may edit or delete any song, arrangement, or setlist in your library at any time. Deleting a song or setlist permanently removes it from your active library. When you sign out, local offline caches stored in your browser are cleared automatically.
6. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact the Looseleaf team through your account support channel.
